Upon receiving a service request from a client, Daniel (a pseudonym), we discovered that two years earlier, he had transferred $3.47 million worth of Bitcoin to a fraudulent cryptocurrency investment platform. After collecting his transaction records and details of the scam, we immediately initiated the tracing process. Within just two weeks, we collaborated closely with the local Digital Asset Legal Bureau on a joint investigation. Amid millions of daily blockchain transactions, we accurately traced the final destination of the client’s funds. Ultimately, we successfully identified the blockchain address used by the criminal group to conceal the assets, assisted law enforcement authorities in lawfully freezing and decrypting the address, and traced the hash transactions back to hundreds of victim wallets—returning the funds to each and every one of them.
